1. MINUTES OF LAST MEETING. The minutes of the meeting held on 18th January 2011 were agreed and signed as a true record.

2. CHAIRMAN’S REPORT. The Chairman thanked the Committee once again for their work and commended the volunteers for their help on the day of the show. Once again the weather had been excellent; the field was busy and the attendance was good. It was nice to see such a variety of activities. We had lost some members off the Committee this year but were lucky that new people were coming forward. It was important for us to raise funds for the coming year. Tony thanked Gwynne Owen for being President and hoped he had enjoyed the experience.

3. SECRETARY’S REPORT. June said that the Show had become enormous now and was a much larger event. We were lucky that Villagers took part and volunteered to help. June re-iterated that it was going to be necessary to raise money as we will not receive a grant this year.

4. TREASURER’S REPORT. Glyn reported that the Show income was up by around £12 over expenditure this year, due to us receiving a grant. The net cost of the Show was around £1960. This year’s Show would be safe but we need to raise funds. The gate and raffle were slightly down but the Craft and stalls were up together with donations. Over all, quite a successful year.

5. ELECTION OF OFFICERS.

Chairman: Tony Birch was nominated by Lynne, seconded by Gwyneth.

Vice Chairman: David Shillito was nominated by Tony, seconded by Dewi.

Secretaries: It was agreed that last year’s three secretaries should stand once again, i.e. June Row, Eluned Ellis and Lynne Morley. Elizabeth Yorke, who was nominated by Lynne and seconded by Tony, agreed to be the fourth Secretary.

Treasurer: Glyn said he wished to stand down as Treasurer but in the absence of any other interest he agreed to continue, with assistance from Maggie, until a replacement could be found. It was suggested that this could be mentioned in the Newsletter.

Field Manager: Richard Ellis was appointed in his absence, subject to his agreement. Nominated by Tony, seconded by Gwyneth.

Fund Co-ordinator: Gwyneth Watkin was nominated by Lynne, seconded by Gwynne.

6.PRESIDENT: Following his year of Office, Gwynne said on behalf of himself and Janet that they had a wonderful day. An Assembly Member for Wales had visited the Show with Lady Linlithgow and had said what a good show it was.

Suggestions for President 2012: After consideration of a few suggestions, it was agreed that Gladys Butterworth would be approached. It was also proposed that Jim Pickstock be considered, for his support of the Show over the years. Nominated by Dewi, seconded by Tony.

DATE OF NEXT ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING: TUESDAY 15TH JANUARY, 2013.
