1. MINUTES OF LAST MEETING The minutes of the meeting held on 8th July were agreed and signed as a true record.
2.MATTERS ARISING:
Grants Unfortunately we were unsuccessful with the grant this year. Apparently the money available was exceeded by the number of applications.
Posters and Fliers have been completed by Nita who was thanked for her excellent work.
Signs. Nita still awaiting the vinyl which has been ordered. The two permanent signs will be completed soon and ready for erection.
Burger Van booked for the day.
Stewards. Arrangements are all in hand.
Public Liability Insurance. The policy documents received and arrangements made for the increased cover, as arranged.
Jackets. Extra jackets have been ordered and await collection.
3. ANY OTHER BUSINESS
ORGANISATION OF SHOW.
Present for President. It was suggested and agreed that a present be purchased for the President. Suggestions included an engraved glass. Nita also suggested producing a certificate.
Arrangements for setting up. Marquees, chairs and tables all arranged. Volunteers to meet 2 p.m. on Saturday to erect tables etc. Tables will be covered on Sunday at a time to be arranged. Dick suggested that cable covers should be acquired to cover trailing wires. Alan and Ron will sort out the P.A. system and Bob will show stewards the correct use of the walkie talkies.
Advertising. The County Times are to run an advertising spread around 14th August. There are plans for other adverts and the fliers and posters will be distributed in the next few weeks.
Signs. It was agreed that road signs could be put up prior to the day of the show. Village signs will be put up this week, but will need to be replaced next year.
