Minutes of General Meeting – 1st March 2010

1. MINUTES OF LAST MEETING.    The minutes of the meeting held on 11th January, 2010  were agreed and signed as a true record.

2. MATTERS ARISING:
Dog Show Table.  Alan has received the specifications and this is in hand.
Tents and Toilets.  All booked
Food.   June and Gwyneth have met with the suppliers and discussions are ongoing.  The “Sweet man” and the “Doughnut Man” are prepared to do everything we require, including burgers, wraps etc.  We are also hoping that the Hog Roast is coming again.
Cakes and Sandwiches.  Issidy asked it to be recorded that it was a pity the W.I. were no longer involved with the Show.
Attractions.   June said she was having problems booking the Cajun band as they are awaiting confirmation of a booking the previous night in Scotland. The Jazz Band also had been unable to commit this year, due to a prior engagement.  Kaleidoscope have confirmed and June had another Jazz Band which she would check out.  Tony had contact with a man who shows model Aeroplanes.  He could also bring some larger models. The Vintage Cars were still coming.
Cadets.   Tony has had no luck in contacting the Cadets but will continue to try.

4. CHEESE AND WINE EVENING
This is to be on 22nd May and June has booked Jan Miller, of the North Wales Butterfly Conservation Soc. Who will give a talk on “Gardening for Butterflies”.  She will have her book on sale on the evening.  

5.  MEMBERSHIP BADGES.
These were now available in the agreed colour of tangerine orange.

6. ANY OTHER BUSINESS

President 2010.   Dr. Richard Griffiths had been delighted to accept as President for 2010.
Performance Tent.  It was agreed that if the Performance tent was hired out the minimum charge would be £200.
