Llanfechain Horticultural Show and Sports

This year’s show, which will be the 44th, is to be held on Monday August 30th on the playing field and in the Village Hall. The Marquees and field will be open from 8.00am to enable competitors & exhibitors to bring their items for display, and to allow trade and charity stalls to be set up. For Application Forms for stalls in the Arts and Crafts Marquee, the Farmer's Market in the Food and Drink Marquee,or for Trade or Charity stands or table tops please submit a request using the form at the bottom of this page . All competitive displays must be in place by 11.00am when those Marquee areas will be closed for judging, re-opening at 2.00pm. As before there will be an additional marquee for the display, demonstration and sales of Art and Craft. Again this year a further large additional marquee will accommodate the food events including competitive cookery, Farmer's market, local food and drink producers and live cookery demonstrations. Non-competitive marquee areas and the showground open at 11.00am along with the stalls, sideshows and other attractions, accompanied of course by live music, entertainment and refreshments all day. Caterers this year will be World Cuisine Catering, providing a full menu of meals, snacks and drinks including FreshTraditional Lemonade, Donuts and Waffles. The Companion Dog show commences at 12 noon, the children’s fancy dress is at 2.15pm followed by the Pet Show at approximately 2.45pm. Presentation of cups and trophies for Childrens' Classes takes place at 4.20pm and for all others at 4.30pm. Childrens Sports will also begin at 4.30pm. The raffle is to be drawn at 5.30pm. Competitive exhibits may not be removed before 5.30pm by which time all prize monies should have been collected.The final performance also commences at 5.30pm.
